URGENT long term foster or forever home needed for Nadia - The dog was seen in Novermber/December 2013 in Sofia and had barely any fur and would not survive the winter on the streets. She was very nervous but eventually the girl managed to capture her and take her to a clinic where she was treated initially. She had bad skin and an ear infection. She was put on weekly injections of invermectin. And also vitamins. In mid January she went to a foster home. Treatment continued and she seemed to settle well, if still a little nervous in the house. However, she was found to bully smaller dogs. She is a bit of an escape artist and so will need a secure garden and better to be in a rural location. She also needs to be watched around other dogs when there is food, although this is not unusual for ex-street dogs. She is fine with cats and chickens and most dogs - just not little ones. She is been spayed and is fit and healthy. She is still a little nervous around new people, but walks well on a lead and has been taught some recall. She currently lives with 6 other large dogs with no problems, but this was only meant to be a temporary foster home and she cannot stay there much longer. She can be rehomed within Bulgaria, or to the UK, Germany, Austria etc. Currently located in Sofia.
