US Aircraft Lands in Ugandan Road A South Sudan-bound plane carrying US military personnel has been forced to land in the middle of road after taking off from Entebbe airport. The plane, eyewitnesses say, touched down along Kampala Mityana road near Kiwawu trading center attracting dozens speculators and heavily paralysing traffic flow. No causalities have been reported, according to Mityana RDC Lt Joel Walusimbi. UPDF spokesperson, Lt Col Paddy Ankunda told Chimpreports the incident occurred on Friday morning. It was an American aircraft carrying 8 US nationals,” said Ankunda. He refused to divulge more information, referring our Corps to the US embassy. However, the Public Affairs Officer of the US Mission in Kampala, Daniel Travis could not be reached on his known mobile phone. The pilot, on detecting the mechanical hitched, reportedly sought an emergency landing in the middle of the road, as he tried to return to Entebbe airport for safety.
