US WARNING ON TRAVEL TO TURKS AND CAICOS For two consecutive years now the Turks and Caicos has seen aggravated burglary sprees force the U.S. Embassy to issue travel alerts to American citizens about vacations here. It happened again yesterday morning, and while the Embassy in Nassau does say the country is a low crime destination… it also warned Americans coming to the TCI that there have been armed burglaries of citizens renting private villas. Over the past two weeks, there had been four instances and one teenager is in custody, believed to be half of the duo involved in the crimes. The US Embassy highlights a 24% spike in crime and a 76% spike in robberies from 45 to 79 cases report for the Turks and Caicos. Police are also still looking to interrogate 19 year old Luvest Malcolm, described as 6ft, slim build, armed and extremely dangerous. CALL CRIME STOPPERS 1 800 TIPS
