Uduaghan asks immigration to fish out illegal aliens Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State on Friday in Asaba, the state capital has asked the Nigerian Immigration Service to fish out illegal immigrants in the state and deport them to their respective countries. The governor, who was addressing a press conference at the Government House, noted that there was an unusual increase in the number of people coming into the state, due primarily to the insecurity problem in the northern parts of the country. He said that inasmuch as the state would try to accommodate law abiding citizens coming into the state, the state government would not tolerate illegal immigrants, whose mission in the state was questionable. “There is an influx of people from other parts of the country into Delta State. So long as they don’t give us security challenges, we will manage the situation. “But for those coming into Nigeria illegally, we have asked immigration to fish them out and send them back. Those who are Nigerians should be properly organised,” he said. The governor however said the people should not expect miracles from his government, even after spending eight years in office. “There is no way this administration can construct all the roads in the state in eight years. It’s not just possible to do all the roads. But as we get funds, we will do the much we can,” he said. Similarly, Uduaghan said it was also not possible to rehabilitate all the 1,600 schools in the state before he leaves office in 2015.
