Uganda never seizes to amuse. Apparently, President Museveni wants the national anthem ReMixed in a $75,000 (Shs180m) project. I enjoyed reading a few comments. According to Alex Mukulu who is spearheading the project, the anthem is not “energetic”. So Allan Kasujja suggested that the ReMix includes a short rap by President Museveni. But I find Noah Mukindas comments even more interesting. According to him, Museveni was using one of those management theories: If you fail to make a significant impact in the field for which you were hired as a manager, at least move the entrance door so that you can be remembered for that.. Trying to ReMix Ugandas anthem says a lot about Musevenis desire to leave a legacy which seems to have failed in many fronts.
