Ugh! Todays devo...this has been on my mind for YEARS now! Why is it that we feel like we need to throw a giant party, gifts, parting gifts, games, blow up machines, and all that other stuff?!?! We, the parents ALWAYS stress over something and does anyone else feel like it is just breeding little monsters? I just want to know where old-fashioned cake, park, and thanks for coming went....and why did Sweet 16 turn into Sweet 2 or Sweet 7 or Sweet 9 and 1/2 extravagant craziness!? NOW, I am NOT saying you are horrible for ever doing this (Lord only knows how much we have spent for 4 children in the almost 8 years we have been blessed with them) I am saying...I am pretty sure we could have bought OURSELVES a new car with all that we spent. Anyone else feel me here? OH and dont even get me started on Christmas...oi VEY! #somethingsgottachange
