Un-intentional breach of Section 6 (salute) of Flag code of India...during lowering ceremony of National Flag in the evening at Mini Secretariat. Patiala, The Royal City...... RULE:-3.31.... ----------------:-During the ceremony of hoisting or lowering or when the flag is passing in a parade or in a review,all person present should face the flag and stand at attention. Those present in uniform should render the appropriate salute when the flag is in moving column. Persons present will stand at attention or salute as the flag passes them. A dignitary may take the salute without a head dress.................................. ...............I received a telephone call from my office, asking me the proper procedure for lowering down ceremony of National Flag in the evening.I told them the proper procedure and asked them to adopt the same procedure in a respectful manner as adopted at Attari-Wagha Border. They followed my directions in letter and spirit and intimate me about this , after the lowering ceremony....then I heaved a sigh of relief .....I immediately rushed to the office of Deputy Commissioner Patiala to see the lowering down ceremony of National Flag at 6.20 PM. No one was present there except one person , who was talking on mobile phone with someone else ( May be spouse or G/F) and started lowering down the National Flag..He remained busy on mobile till he completed his task, then he put the National Flag on his left arm and went inside the office..... ....Hun Kaun Sahib Nu Aakhe....Injj Na Injj Kar... .......Ignorance of Law is no excuse......
