Underprivileged and hungry people in Grover Beach need your help. This will only take a minute of your time: NOTICE FROM THE PEOPLE’S KITCHEN BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Urgent request from the South County People’s Kitchen Help! We need help to overturn the Grover Planning Commission denial of our use permit to occupy our emergency serving location at the October 7th City Council meeting at 6:30 pm. If we fail, 21 years of feeding the hungry in the 5 cities and hundreds of thousands of meals could end. Please write a letter or send an email to the Grover Beach City Council that is received before the deadline of Sep 30th stating that you support the People’s Kitchen providing meals to all who are hungry whether homeless or low income in the community and ask that the City Council approve a use permit for the temporary use of 286 S. 16th St location behind the closed courthouse. With this support, we have a chance of buying time to look for a new location as the permit would only be good through July 21st, 2014. Each letter should be from one person, so there would be two letters from a husband and wife. We seek to have over 1000 letters in front of each council member before our appeal is heard.
