Understanding 1 Cor 15:20-28 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits [done]; afterward they that are Christs at his coming [future]. Then cometh the end, when he [the last Adam/resurrected saints] shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even [namely] the Father; when he [Christ Jesus, God] shall have put down [triumphed over] all rule and all authority and power. For he [Christ Jesus, God] must reign [as intercessor/Mediator by His Spirit], till he [Christ Jesus, God] hath put all enemies under his [resurrected saints] feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death [resurrected saints]. For he [Christ Jesus, God] hath put all things under his [resurrected saints] feet. But when he [Christ Jesus, God] saith, all things are put under him [resurrected saints], it is manifest that he is excepted [Christ Jesus, God], which did put all things under him [resurrected saints]. And when all things shall be subdued unto him [resurrected saints], then shall the Son [resurrected saints] also himself be subject unto him [Christ Jesus, God] that put all things under him [resurrected saints], that God may be all in all. 1 Cor 15:26-28 is quoting Psalm 8:6-8 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. This takes us back to Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Using the KJV only here, I believe the term Son (there is no capitalization in the original language) in 1 Cor 15:28 is speaking of the glorified saints, not the Son of Man, Jesus Christ. We can go back to Dan 7:13-14 to confirm this one like the Son of man representing the saints, being given this authority by the Ancient of Days (God Himself) - see the angels interpretation in vs. 22 and 27. Regarding the handing over of the kingdom, the first Adam handed the kingdom over to Satan, the god of this world (Luke 4:6; 2 Cor 4:4); the Last Adam (the firstborn from the dead) handed it back over to God (Himself). Thats what redemption is. After the resurrection, it will be as it was in the beginning, before the fall, for all eternity.
