Unedited note The little voice, presidential election should be postponed, Museveni to rule until he is frail, MP should be elected every five years. I have been forced to come out and strongly put my signature on the political platform of this great nation that has become the integral hub for peace building in the great lake region. A lot of activities which are political, economical and social are on the daily rise as the road to 2016 gets nearer. Movement caucus, the body representative NRM in the August house has raised storm over the new development that His Excellency, the president of the republic of Uganda should stand unopposed, in other word, party primary selection, a process to determine who becomes the presidential candidate of NRM, should be shelled off. This has already been endorsed the party parliamentarian and the news received with mixed reactions by the haters of the current political, socio-economic transformation of modern time. Before I get deeper into my probable inner thoughts, I clearly would want to point out and remind Ugandans about the roles Mr. Museveni has played as a leader in this country. Since the founding of Uganda as a country, and in the political nurturing of an ideal functional state, no leader in Uganda, dead or a life or to come in this current generation can reach the mantle of the current head of state. He came to power with an ideal concept of creating a potential secured and undisturbed peace guaranteed for all Ugandans • His excellency, the president has one superb unique quality and that is the desire to create peace. Security for citizen is an inherent principle of life of any human alive of every Ugandan and our president having come from a solid and hard sophisticated terrain of unsecured vicinity by peace haters made him to master all ideological concepts of establishing a primary secured environment for all the citizen to stay peacefully and safe, moreover in harmony. • Development of a military system from a rug tag and unfitting hungry looking, un-seenly army officers to a profesiionzal law abiding military dude respected in the great lake region and beyond for their military might in combating bandits, the enemies of peace. Uganda army, particularly the infantry has the capacities and capabilities to battle any war on this planet earth whether ancient or modern build on an exemplary leadership exhibited by the president. It’s a cardinal indicators that Uganda as a nation is very safe with this kind of leadership. It has never been easy to build a single unit of national army with a well oriented inner communication system and commands that monitor the activities of the military comparable to ours( the core of discipline in the military). This is actually the genesis of problem for our Northern brother (Kiir). This has a very huge impact with tangible benefits to all pro and anti government critics alike. • Institutional and infrastructural development during the NRM regime due to a peaceful environment as a result of economic and social transformation, and free flow of trade has made Uganda a major destination hub in the world. Tourism is booming because of peace that exists in Uganda and has not just come easily, it’s there because Museveni as the head of state has established an extensive network or rather a secured fabric of intelligent bureau with reliable equipment to monitor security details within Uganda and the great lake region. • Highly improved social services, schools, hospitals. The impacts are felt even by the blinds. An ideal environment has been created, a model of empowering indivdival to invest inodrer to improve social life of the citizens of the country, I mean the leverage to do investment is in the hands of the people. The roar of the government has only been for the citizen to work had. The key ingredient to secure an environment is already provided by the government and that is security and the president is the patron. The key pillars that demonstrate the strength and vision of our president and the viable zeal to develop and steer the nation on a right path are shown on presidential initiatives; bananas industrial development, science and technology and poverty alleviation packages. Looking national priority; infrastructures development in roads, railways and energy, improving government effectiveness in service delivery, enhancing agricultural production and productivity, employment creation for youth and women, initiatives geared towards development of human resources. Musevni success can be enumerated into a full book, a size of a bible and still we shall need more books and this is forcing me to make an alarm, a call to this lady called Anita, your endorsement that Museveni should go unchallenged as NRM candidate in the forth coming election is a belittling gesture in the name of the president considering the huge contributions he has made to this nation. First imagine, the president has been overwhelmingly winning every election in Uganda. Presidential election is a very hectic exercise as it requires traversing all corners, all regions, all tribal geographical demarcations, hills, valleys of Uganda, hmm!!!! therefore, the president having done this four times with a rumbling landslide victory, require all Ugandans with clear consciences to bow and show Mzee the highest form of respect and unconditionally render consolidarity of support for his good governance by show of infinite loyalty for his continuous leadership. Several elections will finally bear exhaustion on our beloved head of state which can be so detrimental for his future undertakings especially when it comes to dealing with complex visionary national issues and decisions. Miss Anita, our president should never be subjected to any election again. Mr. Museeveni should be declared by the parliament of Uganda as the head of state until such a time that his health is a national concern to the citizen of Uganda, the electorates. If it requires a referendum for this to action to be undertaken, I greatly request NRM able MPs to move a motion in parliament and have the process start has soon as possible. The president as for now should be given time to look at the prospect of security of Uganda; continue with great transformation of the army into an international counter terrorism military. A change of leadership in this nation will be of catastrophic consequences as terrorist will take opportunity to wreck destruction to our nation. As for the case of Member of Parliament, I do not have any kind word for you because majprity of you apparently do not know your duties and you end up making noise, obstracting the president from initiating developmental project that could have benefited million of Ugandans. Let me warn you, if we don’t nurture our own democracy, we shall never get to that level of civilization that brings out our pride. There are countries in the world that have got their own model of democracy and they are super nation now. China is an example, North korea and many other countries you know very well. Uganda should not copy what Americans do, or british are doing then we think out of it we putting Uganda in the right path. These nations looted our resources, drained our economy and delayed our path to modern civilization yet majority of us worship them. Members of parliaments have a smaller area of representation, some are actually one Gombolola and therefore, MP seat should always be declared vacant after every four years. I wonder why some of MP are agitating that [parliamentary election ,should be pushed ahead by two year. Many of you have issues with your electorates and, it’s only through frequent elections that an MP will be accountable for his/her good deed. And therefore the NRM assertion that 2016 should go ahead is a welcome idea and it should remain the principle for formatting democracy in Uganda but presidential should not be part of this….
