Unfortunately most ordinary people (may be a staggering 99%) - TopicsExpress

Unfortunately most ordinary people (may be a staggering 99%) continue to believe that a real social or political change can only come about when majority of a society want that particular change or revolution. This is one of the fallacies that have become absolute truth as the media has portrayed it in this way over and over through every means available. It has been made stronger by the Western democratic system, which is nothing but a deceptive way to perpetuate the exploitative Capitalist system, as people have started to think that they are somehow taking a crucial part in the political system merely by casting a vote. Fortunately, there are people who refused to believe in this fallacy as truth and vigorously working towards making a difference to this corrupt system. Now, we should turn our eyes to history because an abstract discussion seldom makes any sense unless it is substantiated by historical facts. We all know about Russian revolution or rather I would prefer to call it Bolshevik revolution because, at the end of the day, Bolsheviks were the main beneficiaries of the fall of Tsar. The ordinary Russians were happy after the overthrowing of emperor but no can argue that ordinary people brought down Tsar and caused Bolshevik revolution. Let’s be clear one simple but a matter of utmost importance—Bolsheviks were in the minority even among the revolutionaries let alone the entire Russian population. But if it is so, the question arises—how they managed to grab power and rule the largest country in the world for 73 years! It did not happen by chance. There were reasons—very easily understandable reasons. They were organised and they were determined. Of course, there were other very tangible reasons. But you cannot expect to hold on to power for 73 years unless you are very organized and determined. This determination has to be backed up by pragmatism and a sacrificing mind. These components are essential for any revolution to be successful. There have always been many political parties with a lot of members with great ideologies but most of them (of course more than 99% or we would have witnessed many more revolutions) failed because they lacked pragmatism. Big words don’t make people motivated to sacrifice their lives or wealth unless they can be convinced that these sacrifices would bring them happiness and they are completely sure about a promise of a better life than they have now. This is exactly why the rich and the wealthy people of a society invariably never take part in a revolution rather they are always working for the counter-revolutionary forces. This is a mathematical certainty for very good reason. The point of this short article is to draw the attention of activists, who want to make a better society in a peaceful world, to a very important aspect of a social or political revolution—NEVER EXPECT THE SUPPORT OF THE MAJORITY AND IT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR A SUCCESSFUL REVOLUTION. This fact is so vital because people are bound to be hopeless and frustrated in his or her struggle after a while because he or she will eventually find out that most people (again more than 99% !) are not responding to his or her call for change. Most people never care for a real social change—never did—never will—a fact true throughout the history of mankind. So the very first step you do is to make up our mind for a thorny path ahead with very few friends—many of whom you are yet to come across but they are there—YOU WILL FIND THEM IF YOU REMAIN STEADFAST IN YOUR JOURNEY. GOOD LUCK. youtube/watch?v=sAvJTAV3q6M
