Unfortunately we have a U. S. Senate that has a Democrat majority. The U. S. House of Representatives has a Republican majority and could probably pass impeachment. But, it is the U. S. Senate that tries the case and removes a President from office. After the 2014 elections for members of Congress, Republicans need to gain the necessary increase in seats in the U. S. Senate to have a majority that would remove an impeached President who is seriously damaging the United States of America. It is very interesting, though, that former President Carter and General Powell have the good sense to want Obama impeached and removed from office.
