Unfortunately , whether we like it or not , the caste is v. imp. aspect not only in India but all over ! It is not only prevalent in a particular religion , but all the religions ! The religions claiming ,that , their religion does not have a caste system ,have sects ...worse than castes ! The castes only divide and rarely kill ..but if one opens one`s eyes ..the sectarian killings going on in many countries, have taken a large toll of humans ! If one opens the history pages of the world , the sectarian feuds are going on for centuries...and going stronger every day ! The countries are divided/ plundered / new ones are created ...v unfortunate , indeed ! Conversions only change the names and gradually the faith ...but the caste remains in tact ! VERY MUCH SO IN OUR GOA , too ! If one claims he /she does not know/hear these words ..Bamon,Chaddo , Sudir ..or Shia/Sunni ...or Catholic , Potestant ..and many others like ...he/she or we are DEAF !
