Unisa- Unisa - The University of South Africa wrote: Please be aware that Unisa has been identified as a participant in the NSFAS Central Application System (CAS) pilot phase for the 2014 academic year. With regard to NSFAS, all applications that Unisa received during our application phase are being delivered to NSFAS. Students who still want to apply for NSFAS and have missed the Unisa application deadline for funding can still apply directly to NSFAS through their website (nsfas.org.za). • If you are a returning Unisa student but you have never used NSFAS loan in 2013 and now you want to apply for NSFAS funding for 2014, you need to apply before the 30th November 2013. • If you are a new student at Unisa and you are also a new applicant for NSFAS, you need to apply to NSFAS (nsfas.org.za) before 31 December 2013. • If you are a returning Unisa student (i.e. if you were a registered student in 2013) and are also a returning NSFAS beneficiary (i.e. if you have received NSFAS funding for 2013), you should apply again for NSFAS (your information will be carried over from 2013). • Successful applicants will be identified and notified by NSFAS. Successful students will receive an SMS from NSFAS with a One Time Password (OTP) number which can be used to electronically sign their LAF or SOP online at NSFAS. • All allowances (books, stipend etc) will be paid directly to students via sbux by NSFAS.
