United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East seeks to employ a qualified Procurement Officer, Grade 14 HQ (A) (13-AR-AM-69) The Procurement Officer will be responsible for examining and checking purchase requisitions received and those which are routed in the Procurement and Inventory Management System (PIMS) for procurement action for all Agency requirements of a variety of supplies. He / She will also be responsible for carrying out continuous market research through the use of all available sources with a view to obtaining relevant information and sourcing the suppliers meeting the relevant Agency requirements. The ideal candidate should have university degree from an accredited educational institution in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, logistics contract law, or related field. He/she should have minimum of 4 years in supply chain management or procurement involving procurement planning, contracting, data processing and quality management. Finance Assistant (Budget), Grade 10 HQ (A) (13-AR-AM-70) The Finance Assistant will be responsible for preparing financial reports and documents as may be required and calculating, checking, reconciling and analysing financial and related data. He / She will also be responsible for documenting, classifying and recording transactions and providing financial and budgetary information as required. The ideal candidate should have two years diploma in accountancy, finance or related discipline .He/she should have five years experience in accounting, bookkeeping and financial matters. Head, Transactional Procurement Section, Grade 18 HQ (A) (13-AR-AM-71) The Head, Transactional Procurement Section will be responsible for managing the receipt and consolidation of supply, equipment and services requests that are acquired through shorter term transactional agreements such as the standard Purchase Order with the Agency. He / She will also be responsible for planning; managing and controlling the Agencys short-term acquisition related purchasing, shipping and delivery procedures and operations in accordance with the relevant Agency Operation Directives. The ideal candidate should have advanced university degree from accredited educational institution in supply chain management business administration, procurement, logistics contract law, or related fields, plus additional courses or training in procurement, inventory management, contracts management and accounting. He/she should have at least eight years experience in a large governmental, international or commercial organization in procurement, supply and materials management, commercial shipping practices and negotiation of sale/purchase contracts including three years in a senior managerial level.
