Up to this day I have still issues with people who discriminate. I was discriminated by a maid because I was from Santa Fe. I was teased many times on how we talk with specific inflections in Santa Fe dialect. I was discriminated at first then suddenly they became nice when they found out I was a pilot in Macau. Many stories of discrimination by Pinoys themselves. I was asked in Macau if I was a driver or security guard. We have this default to judge stranger Pinoys, we do not see foreigners in that light. Many discriminate their poor neighbors. However people are nice mostly to their rich neighbors. Why is that? For me on the practical side, I always look forward to the day that the discriminated will do good and come back and shame those who looked down at them long way back. Forgiveness is the way, but my reflections sometime drift me and there.
