Update---for those who have not heard all of the details, I was diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma a few days ago. Today, Jerry and I met with the oncologist. I will be getting a complete body scan and bone marrow biopsy next week and then getting a port and starting chemo. This is a very treatable type of cancer although I could have side effects of being sick and probably losing my hair. I shared with my church friends that I do not want any pity but I welcome each of your prayers for my family and myself. God gave me a peace from the very beginning about this and I know that He is holding us in the palm of His hand. God has a plan in EVERYTHING and it is hard to explain, but I feel blessed to be able to go on this journey--I just feel that God is going to use this to strengthen me for something that I dont understand yet.
