Update 7-14-14 Prayers answered. Today was the big day. We went to go see the new Surgeon. Dr Keese was awesome. He put us last on his schedule so we could spend enough time together. 2 hours to be exact. What an awesome man. Compassion and very comforting. He has agreed to take Bearpaw as his Doctor from now on. This is the best news ever. He took x-rays. The first 2 x-rays I posted are when it first happened. The x-rays today are starting to show some small healing in 3-4 bones. He feels at this time we have to wait before anything is to be done for now. We talked to him about everything and anything. He assured us time is on our side as long as he doesnt break a plate or infection sets in. He said it could be 18 months+ before he feels safe to say his bones are healed. Longer for the soft tissue, nerves and tendons to heal completely. Never being totally back to normal but with the PT and all Im doing he stands a good chance in functioning more than most. He was very impressed with Bearpaw Galindos movement and how he has healed so good. He was also amazed at how much trauma his arm and hand experience and was saved. He has ordered a CT scan of his arm to get a better look. So in the next week we will be doing this and back to see him in 3 weeks. Dr Keese said the one bone that is showing no healing is one of the longest and hardest bone the body heals. In time Bearpaw might have to have a small bone graft. Nothing like what Dr Bowen was talking about. He also said with an accident of this nature, medications was a must. So were on the right track. Thank everyone for keeping us in your prayers. We have seen some really hard times. Now that things are looking up for us, life is getting easier. We are truly blessed to have so many care. I will continue to update as our journey is far from being over. God was extra good to us today :) I feel blessed.
