Update 8/1/14 7:30 PM Savannah had another great day. More great news ... one of her invasive PICC lines (peripherally inserted central catheter) was removed today as well as a med pump. She only has one med pump left!!! At one time she had eight pumps delivering constant medicine drips! Shes been able to self-sooth and has long periods of active awake time. I am working with OT and PT now (love this part!) to ensure shes progressing appropriately. Because shes considered older for the ICN and shes been in a bed since birth, we need to ensure shes on track developmentally. We do our daily stretches, sucking/feeding, and hand exercises. As soon as her chest tube is out, hopefully this weekend, she can start using a swing and her blue crib! For as much as shes been through, her temperament is so warm and playful. She is progressing so quickly and letting us all know shes ready to start exploring babyhood!
