Update 9/10/14 4:50 P.M. Much the same today. Everything stable. They gave him a new med today which they hope will promote more alertness. I was told it would take a couple days of administration to cause an effect if it works. Continuing to work toward getting him off the ventilator, and getting the slight pneumonia cleared up along with the deep wound on his back healed. We are looking toward getting him to a long term care facility as he continues to slowly improve, and getting him out of the coma to start rehab.
