Update Day 4 Southeast Region Senior Girls Softball. It is with regret that we announce our girls have suffered their first and what will be their only loss in postseason play today 2-1 at the hands of Fort Meyers Little League. Our Girls finish as the Runner-Up in the Southeast Region as well as District 1, Section 1, and Florida State Champions. These girls will finish 10-1 in Postseason play. We ask that you continue to support these wonderful girls, parents, and coaches as they return to Defuniak in the coming days as well come out to support them in the future as we recognize their accomplishments. This team is a testament to our town, community, league, and the panhandle in general as to what can be accomplished through hard work and dedication. As you remember these girls please remember to support them throughout their high school career at WHS in the upcoming year as well as supporting DFSLL next spring. We would also like to thank the Many, many people and businesses in our community who came together to contribute and to help fund this wonderful opportunity for this team. Though a bitter ending it is a pleasure to be able to root these girls on and to be a part of fantastic community like the ones we have. Until next season thank you all for your support!
