Update: Diana Ketcham started swelling again today, and I was - TopicsExpress

Update: Diana Ketcham started swelling again today, and I was asked to come back and give permission to check out why. When I got she was back to the point she had been before surgery. The doctor did the procedure and found that sometime in the last couple of days when they rolled her over, the new tube had been pulled on and was leaking. He repositioned t and restitched it back in place. I am concerned that even though it has now been greater than 60 hours, she is still totally unresponsive. I talked to the doctor in charge and he said it still might be that the sedatives had not worn off. That it may take as many as 5 days. He also said that if she recovered it would be a long, long time. He was talking 6mo to a year in the hospital and then another 1-2 years as an outpatient. It has become very clear today that her cat rescue activities have come to an end. She will not be able to take care of the many cats she has now, and will not be able to rescue any others. I am taking care of them the best I can right now, but I need to find foster homes and or no kill shelters for them!!!!!!!! the reason for this is, because she wil be in a wheel chair, I am going to have to let the property we have go. It is to isolated for her to be alone, when Im at work. It will break her heart, but it is either this or allow her to kill herself, or die because she need help and no-one to help, or the respondent is so far away that they arrive too late to help. I have no other choice.
