Update: Im tolerating this cycle #6 better. Md wants 12 and stretching out to 3 week intervals puts me into the end of April as a finish. My extra child from another mother has sat with me on her lunch hour for each infusion. Had to chastise her a bit yesterday as she drove through some bad weather to be there. She has always been such a bright star in my life. Joey had no problem getting me there in the Jeep but winter has officially arrived. Doc loaded me up on stuff to counter some of the side effects: steroids, benedryl, atavan, anti nausea stuff, extra IV fluids. So I slept for 3 hours in the oncology chair in the afternoon and then was up late last night pigging out. Fried chicken for breakfast this AM...I have gained 20 lbs since August surgery. which puts me in my target zone. I am recovered enough from surgery now to start doing some more vigorous exercise to get my muscle tone back on good days. Bad news is my neutrophil count was down so they will add Neulasta to boost and I need to limit my exposure to people and germs till they come up. So I have a break for the holidays but no big gatherings unless my counts come up. I look forward to having lunch tomorrow with my garden friends when I go to have my pump removed. Still dizzy but not as bad, tired, and neuropathy is tolerable. Joey put up a little christmas tree to try to unscrooge me and strung some lights outside also. First time I havent had a real tree but it was not to be this year. Im bumming that I cant shop and my hands are numb so I cant even make gifts...maybe I will have a Christmas in July party next year.
