Update: My gall bladder surgery on Tuesday ended up being more - TopicsExpress

Update: My gall bladder surgery on Tuesday ended up being more difficult than expected. As we know, this is always a risk with any surgery. I ended up in the hospital on Wednesday with extreme pain and violent vomiting. Not much fun on a post-surgical tummy. It has been a tough few days but I am finally getting my pain down to a moderate level. I just had a little clear liquid and have kept it down so far. I had a few post-surgery complications including an issue with removal of some slight liver tissue to get the gall bladder out, vomiting and constipation. One positive is that during this ordeal, one of my doctors discovered I have Gilberts Syndrome. GS basically is an inherited gene mutation where you are missing a liver enzyme that normal livers have. My doctors and nurses did a great job taking care of me and we are grateful for their wisdom and talents. A special thanks to my amazing husband and family! Thank you so much for your prayers and concerns. We should go home tomorrow. And as always, we are grateful to a mighty God who always takes care of us.
