Update: Peyton is still at home and attending school program. I have 3 well equipped awesome personal caregivers to support him and keep him safe. Emotions & behaviors are touch and go. I have been glued to the phone and computer advocating on his behalf with his primary dr, neurologist, psychiatrist, Neuro psychologists, behavior therapists and cognitive rehab specialist. I have also been in touch with Centre for Neuro Skills in Bakersfield for their advise,expertise and option plans. And of course also contacting and getting legal advice to pursuer best appropriate care for my son. Oh yea- I also go to work, care for my kids and home and try to see friends and family!! Peytons low to no insight of his deficits and shallow understanding of his actions and consequences is all textbook TBI but it sure makes it challenging to live with real world expectations and reality of day to day life! I refuse to give up hope and will continue to praise Jesus for every good thing that comes from this journey. Please pray for knowledge, compassion and perseverance in catching the attention of all professionals involved for Peytons sake as well as the millions of others with brain injuries facing similar obstacles. This is real and forever and needs attention yesterday!! Thank you for all love, support and prayers!! XO
