Update: The actual surgeon (Dr.Palmer) has done an EKG through moms esophagus and with further looking, found that what may be a torn valve could actually be a calcium build up due to her kidneys and what they see flapping may actually be a price of calcium instead of a torn valve. They are still making a plan of action, and we havent had any emergency surgery happen at this point. She is completely sedated and wont be awake until after surgery. We also found out the procedure being done is the 2nd most common surgery that is performed today and so we feel shes in good hands. However, the doctor said that they wont know if its a calcium piece or a torn mitral valve until they are actually in surgery. Also, the blockage that she is having is also due to calcium which she has some heavy blockage. We are PRAYING that theyre right about the calcium flap and that she makes it through whatever comes her way in the next day or two. Like I said, she has been really scared so they have her sedated for a few days so she can remain calm. All of her vitals are good as well including her heartbeat, its irregular of course, but shes running about 80-85 bum which is normal, and her bp has also been running pretty normal. Keep the prayers going, were not out of the woods.
