Update: They found the bleed! Hes on his 4th unit of blood & may need more. His hemoglobin didnt change after first 2 units. They found an ulcer bleeding in the duodenum when they went in. They injected it with epinephrine to try & stop the bleed. Biopsy should be back Monday. If bleed continues, theyll have to go back in. Theyre testing for helicobacter pylori infection, & checking to see if meds were the source. He hasnt slept - they have to check vitals every 15 - 30 minutes during transfusion. First transfusion finished at 4:30 am. Thank you for your continued prayer for him. Words cannot express how much we appreciate it!
