Update: They took Adylina off oxygen a couple days ago. Yesterday they took her off the IV fluids & IV nutrients. Early this morning they took the feeding toob out of her tummy. Her oxygen has been staying in the 90s which is acceptable. Her blood sugar has been good. She is not nursing very well because she has a hard time catching her breath & it just plain wears her out. I am still pumping for her around the clock so she is still getting breast milk & some formula supplementation. She is taking a bottle really well, she just needs to be reminded to breath between lots of gulps. Her 7 day course of antibiotics will be complete tomorrow afternoon. Best case scenario, she will get to go home tomorrow evening or Tuesday. She is still gonna need to be followed up with the cardiologist for the hole in her heart. (She has 2 holes. One is closing & is somewhat common in newborns & the other is not) The one that is not closing is located between two chambers of her heart & it is causing her oxygenated blood & her non-oxygenated blood to get mixed together a lil. Thats why her heart is still pumping faster & her breathing is still fast. The eye specialist STILL has not seen her so we have not gotten any official eye diagnosiss yet. Her NICU Dr. did tell me that she has a cataract in her right eye & a small trace of one in her left eye. We will know more when the eye specialist examine her.
