Update: We now have Comcast internet service and every TV in the house functioning properly!!! I was a bit slow with the idea, & am embarrassed about that, but the game changer was to call & ask for new service. I had been spinning my wheels trying to transfer existing services. And I also asked if they would send a technician out to deal with that awful, complicated modem. They were happy to do that for me! I decided that I would let one of their people deal with all of their stupid people. Poor guy was here for 2.5 hrs.
