Update after surgery: Tabitha is out of surgery. She is sore at the site of the line, but is in very good spirits. She honestly is the bravest person I know. I am so blessed to have Tabitha as my little girl. She is teaching me some important lessons. The head of surgery told me he does NOT think the tumor is neuroblastoma. No promises, but he is fairly sure. This is a great praise and answer to prayer. God is merciful!! At this point, they are not sure it is a Wilms tumor. It is most definitely malignant, stage 4 kidney cancer. But it may be another type of kidney cancer. Tabitha is a little old to develop Wilms. He said it can happen, but it might also be another kidney cancer. Lord wiling, we will know at the beginning of the week. I am scheduled to meet with the oncology team and the surgical team on Monday. Once the pathology report is in, they will map out a course of treatment and we will proceed from there. Once we sign off on the treatment, chemo will likely begin at once. Thank you all for your prayers!!! Please offer up prayers of thanksgiving for God answering our prayers concerning the tumor type. Pray He will continue to strengthen us. Pray He will heal Tabitha. Pray we will remain faithful to Him.
