Update and Praise Report from Team April... April Stewart Narramore: PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY!! We are nearing the finish line of this breast cancer journey. Double mastectomy w/reconstruction is scheduled for tomorrow. Please pray for my breast surgeon & the plastic surgeon & also for my body to avoid any infection. Infections mess up the whole plan so Ive got to be strong:). In a couple of weeks, my hair should be growing back & this surgery will be behind me and I can go back to work. Get back to normal if theres such a thing lol. I know I sound like a broken record but I just cant say it enough----MAN what a GREAT support system I have had thru this whole journey. I am so incredibly thankful for all of my family, friends, neighbors, church, co-workers & FB friends for your support. My husband & daughter have been my rocks thru this & taken the best care of me. Cancer hasnt just affected me, its affected my whole family and thats true with anybody going thru this horrible disease. Always Pray for everybody in their family as well as the patient. Also, I sincerely mean this, if any of you are ever diagnosed with breast cancer or have a friend diagnosed and I can help them by sharing my story, please know I am available to help in any way. Taylor Narramore, Barry Narramore History Log: April 7 - diagnosed w/invasive Ductal carcinoma, stage 1, grade 3, Triple Negative (chemo needed because triple negative tumor) April 22 - lumpectomy (remove .9 cm tumor) May 28 - 1st Chemo Taxotere Cytoxin June 18 - 2nd Chemo July 9 - 3rd Chemo July 30 - Last Chemo August 26 - Double Mastectomy (preventative measure for no recurrence) but blessed that today they can do reconstruction at the same time:) What a journey but I promise this journey has made me see my life differently & to be thankful for all my blessings.
