Update from Children’s Revival: “Lego Mania: God made us special and unique for His purpose.” I want to share what the children and youth experienced this last week. On Sunday morning, the children walked through the doors of the Ed. Building and were so excited to see the Lego theme and Lego castle. Their excitement was contagious. That morning, we had a lot of children visiting. Some had never been to church before Sunday. The sermon God placed in my heart was a perfect. I incorporated parts of the Lego movie into my sermons and paired it with Scripture, games, crafts, memory games and worship songs. Sunday morning, we learned about how we are all created by God, the Father of all. I had another sermon prepared for Sunday night, but God has that strange way of telling me… that’s not it. So Sunday afternoon, I completely started my Sunday night lesson from scratch. God showed us why that night. The salvation message was the night’s theme. At the end of the night, we did two prayers. The first prayer we asked Jesus to come into our hearts, 13 kids responded to that prayer. The second prayer was if the kids had already asked Jesus into their hearts, but were not choosing to live for Him. We had 16-20 kids raise their hands to accept Jesus back into their lives and hearts and choose that day to start living for him. I had over 10 children come to me afterwards for more information. Monday night’s lesson we spoke about all you have to do is BELIEVE! Tuesday night the theme was “Follow Him.” Wednesday night we finished up with “Follow Him and Bring Other’s Along.” It was a GREAT week. We had 60-65 children each night. The room was filled with fun, smiles, laughter… but most of all the Holy Spirit. Two stories of how God was moving: A 5th grade boy who is coming every Wednesday and Sunday wanted so bad to remember the verse John 3:16. He came up to me and said, “Pastor Stef, I got all of it memorized except I cannot remember the word “perish.”
