Update from Doctors Beck & Stone --- The 3-legged female puppy has a new home She was only 2 months old when her young life nearly ended, and now just over one month later she is living with a loving family and 3 skeptical cats, and she will shortly be on a trip half way around the world to live a wonderful life in Nova Scotia, Canada. A kindhearted woman found her injured in the street and brought her to our Chaoyang Park hospital. She was very weak, with a seriously injured front and hind leg. We had no choice but to amputate her front right leg immediately. We were not certain that she would survive because of loss of blood, but she pulled through. After a surprisingly fast recovery she started running again, just two weeks after her horrible accident. A lot of well-wishers made donations and prayed for the 3-legged puppy. On June 1 she was adopted by Philip, Sharon and 3 skeptical cats, and she was renamed “Bella”. Here is the first news written by Bella’s new family: Bella had a great time with us in the park this morning. She really enjoyed the grass and lots of play. Of course our cats are not too pleased with the situation. She just wants to play with them but the cats are a still very territorial. They have never seen a dog before. Bella has had a wonderful day meeting all kinds of dogs in the garden. After a nice bath she is now sleeping away under the watchful eyes of 3 cats. She has been the perfect little lady. The cats are getting more used to her. Just a matter of time…!
