Update from Elder Devin Thompson Oct.21, 13: hi momma, how are you this week? Things are going well and this week went by even faster than last week. Also i was told by older missionaries that time starts to go even faster which is crazy because idk if i can imagine it much faster. Im glad you are making scott work out he needs it. Even i went running this morning for the first time in like a month haha. I hate running but i need it cuz im starting to lose my toneness. I eat alot of high carb foods and stuff. Pretty much everything you can eat here is very starchy which is extremely bad for you. That sounds very interesting that you went and found elder sheffields family. I really only see either of them at transfers though. So ever since i left hammanskraal ive only seen each of them once. I see elder turney occasionally also. Thats great about brad! I am so happy for them, its sad to see children grow up in a broken home so what they are doing is one of the greatest things they can do. Not only for brad but for his mom to. Tell them i say congratulations on that. Those are some really great pictures to. Yes we got to see all of the sessions of conference this weekend. One of my favorites was the one by edward Duve. It was really inspiring and i liked it alot. So ya thats what most of our weekend has consisted of and we just watched it at the chapel with all of the members. Nothing super cool has happened this week its just gone by really fast. Haha something weird though. We have a canyon behind our flat and you can hike down in it and there are caves down there. Theres a church called the ZCCs and they go down there in the caves and worship and its really sketch haha so we go down into the canyon and just play around and hike sometimes. Pretty sure we saw a body bag in the river down there. lots of adventures. Also on saturday it was really sunny and then as soon as we came out of the church it started raining and hailing the hardest ive ever seen in my life. The rain drops are the size of a golf ball and im told they get even bigger. haha it put dents in the car. Well ma i love you so so so much and i hope you have a great week i miss you and i love you. Let the family know that i love them too. Love Devin
