Update from Kim... The weekend was a bit more relaxing. Therapists reinforced working on skills we had previously done. We enjoyed family & friends visiting. Today was back to the more intense therapies. Mark is doing well. Theres a good chance we may go home within the next couple of days. 😀 We have a team meeting with the Drs., therapists, social worker, etc tomorrow morning to determine when we can go home. Today they did a test to check Marks vocal cords that is done with a camera device. This showed that the vocal cords are not closing completely which is more than likely why Marks voice is so soft. There are exercises that can be done to improve the vocal cord function. This will just take some time.
