Update from Mommy: Audree is discharged. Her EKG, Echo and - TopicsExpress

Update from Mommy: Audree is discharged. Her EKG, Echo and pressures looked perfect. The levels of most of her labs came back with perect levels. Now we just have to wait on a few more labs to come back, and her biopsy results, as well. We will be increasing 1 of her immunosuppression meds due to her recent growth :) We also approved her to be a participant in a study on pediatric post transplant catherizations. All it entails is 6 extra pictures during her Echos. Audree did very well for her 4 hr recovery time & had no issue with PO (by mouth) intake afterward. Little brother charmed the nurses and the team (he even was able to get 1 nurse to give him a chocolate chip cookie :) We absolutely LOVE Childrens Medical Center Dallas transplant team, anesthesiologists, & cardiac nurses! It is always wonderful to spend time catching up with each of them! Audree did have 1 minor hiccup. When it was time to leave, Audree stood up and immediately her right leg buckled. Initially, we thought she was being silly &/or that she was still a little unsteady; but over the past 45 minutes she has had her leg buckle every time she tries to walk. Dr. Sam came back in to check on her, and he thinks the issue is that there is a nerve being pressed in the area that is tightly bandaged- which unfortunately has to stay tightly bandaged for 24 hrs. So for today Audree is being a little bed bug, surrounded by her coloring books, stuffed animals, & her tablet. Thank you for your prayers! We will update again tomorrow. God is good, always! Mark Gomez and I are hoping for a nap at some point, but considering Audree and Mathew both had good long naps today- it is doubtful. ♡
