Update from Shanna: Richard is slowly showing signs of improvement. The cannula placement was a success in increasing his oxygen. They have decreased the vent settings some today as well as the ECMO settings, lowered his sedation drips. He is moving a little with verbal stimulation. All vital signs are stable. The plan is to continue to try and wean him down and wake him more . If he continues to progress and does well the plan is to try and move him to The University Of Kentucky early week where he will await a bilateral lung transplant. Shanna will travel with him when that time comes. Please continue to pray and fight fire with Richard, Shanna and family!
