Update from our niece Brandy: There arent enough Words to express the gratitude in my heart for all that has happened. I feel as though God uses circumstances, People and even social media as a pathway to show his mercy, love, grace and healing. Bobby had a stroke around 9:30 Thursday morning. Thursday night was was very grim as Bobby was completely paralyzed on his left side. On Friday morning he was in ICU waiting results of a CT scan to see if the TPA (clot buster) had done further damage. Friday evening the doctor said no further damage, but with his current condition, he will need in-hospital rehab for weeks to come. Friday night he moved out of ICU onto Neuro. Floor. Saturday morning the doctor told him to decide which rehab hospital he would want to be admitted to. In Bobbys words Im not going to no Old Folks Home! Saturday at noon Bobby called for a walker and started walking the hallway still with much weakness in his left side. We started our own fine motor therapy as no one came to work with him because of it being a weekend. Saturday evening he is raising his left arm to high- five his Aunt!shortly after, a doctor comes in and says there is no need for you to go to rehab hospital. You can do out patient therapy. Sunday morning the doctor that told him to choose his Old Folks Home comes in and says that he is releasing him to go home this morning! We were home by noon on today, Sunday.... All Glory is to God! To be a Christian doesnt mean you have to be perfect. It just means you proclaim to believe in Jesus Christ the ONE who died for your imperfections. We all make mistakes and will continue to make mistakes. Everybodys journey is different and everybodys relationship with God is unique to them. Use what has happened in these last 72 hrs. With Bobby to start your journey... PRAYER WORKS! THANK YOU to ALL who said just one prayer for us! Life is so much easier when you give control of it to God and TRUST. He gives you strength when you have NO strength. He makes a way where there is NO way! He restores and makes ALL things new! Blessings to you
