Update on Amalie: First off...Yall know I do not like negative post....but, I know you want an update & Im just keeping it real this morning...Im super frustrated for Miss Amalie! She continues to run high fevers & still has limited mobility in her legs. Her pain level is high & has spread from her legs to her upper body & jaw. Positive note: all the cultures have come back clear so far, but I cant help but be frustrated not knowing what is causing all these symptoms. Im praying that this pain is just her bone marrow trying to rebound & the fevers are a sign that her immune system is trying to kick in! Fever=isolation, so no fun teen group or celebrity visitors! Bummer! The Texas Rangers were here yesterday! They did give Amalie a gift bag full of Ranger swag that her daddy stole from her last night! After a miserable night last night, our spirits were lifted this morning with a surprise gift bag from The Miller Family! Thank you, Theresa! Super sweet! The plan for today? Her counts are low, so she will need 2 units of blood, some platelets, lots of antibiotics & prayers!!!! Please keep Chloe Blackman & her family in your thoughts & prayers as she starts chemo today! Also heavy on my heart this morning, the Cantu family! Continued prayers for Rio & pray for his dad, Johnny, who has come down with shingles...and Super Mom, Blanca for managing it all with such grace! All this sad Cancer business has made me a little blue, so Im going to lift my spirits by starting a little PROJECT! I think Amalie & Chloe need a little Christmas decorations for their rooms! Im going to go hunt for supplies down the hall & see what I can come up with!!!
