Update on Dixie Boy. Sorry it has taken so long but we have had some hard decisions to make. He is steadily getting worse. Massive amounts of puss and swelling. It has started to affect his eating as well. He has been getting alfalfa cube mush because he has trouble chewing his hay now. We have discussed his situation with the University of FL. It is not good news. They believe either a major tooth issue or tumors. Tumors is what our vet is thinking as well. They said he needs a CT scan to see what is going on. He is scheduled for the scan Thursday. The scan alone is $800. We received an estimate of $3,000 to $4,000 if it is something that can be fixed by surgery. We have decided to do the scan and go from there. We need to know what is wrong with him so we can proceed with the best solution for him.
