Update on Duke (our puppy): He is doing much better tonight. He is normally an outside dog, but because he has been sick, he has been inside all day (I am sure he is convinced he has died and gone to heaven). The Vet gave him some antibiotics and we are still giving him the benedryl for swelling but the swelling has gone down a lot since we gave him the antibiotics. So, in the mean time, he is being spoiled rotten while he gets better. He has a nice puncture wound on his nose under his eye and a spot where, the vet thinks, he bit down on himself, on his inner lip that is about the size of a quarter. We are now thinking it may not be a snake bite but that he may have been stung by a wasp or a scorpion and had a severe allergic reaction. We will probably never know what really happened but, I am very grateful that he is feeling better and I know Kelli Morris is happy.
