Update on Harvey Mandel As many of you know Harveys been fighting cancer since last year. He had nine surgeries over the short course of several months to finally get a clean margin. His doctor teams wanted him to wait and take a rest for two months to let all the inflammation go down. yesterday they scanned his body to insure nothing has spread. He is having the procedure done in San Francisco where he lives. He will be returning to Chicago this coming Tuesday...meeting with various docs and his surgeons. Then on the 10th they will take him back to surgery and re-biopsy the entire area...if this all comes back clean he can finally start the reconstructive process.
