Update on Jerry: When I saw him this morning it was about 17 hours after surgery and he was still on oxygen and not awake. When I returned at 5 pm he was breathing on his own and fully awake! Hes drinking liquids, able to talk, although still a bit tired. Tomorrow they will get him to sit up, and possibly walk. He will also be moved out of ICU and moved into step-down room before coming home next week. He says the pain is not bad at all. Thank you for your good thoughts and prayers. I am so moved by your concern and good wishes for both of us!
