Update on Leigh Ann: We are still in ICU tonight. Leigh Ann had a good morning. She was perky as the day started, but I think she over did it a bit. She has slept most of the day and is quiet again tonight. Her oxygen continues to be strong. She did not have to go back on the bi-pap last night as we were told she would. But she did great without it!! Now we need an appetite. Leigh Ann needs strength for the next leg of the journey and food is fuel. So, we need fuel. Pray for Leigh Ann to begin now to gain strength. She has fought hard in ways we cannot see. Now she will have to fight in ways we can see. She has not been off her bed in two weeks. She appears to be strong when she pushes against us with her legs and arms. In the next day or two we need to translate that into sitting up, then standing, then walking. She has had a low grade fever much of the afternoon and early evening, but none of the medical personnel seem concerned about it at all. Of course, every tenth of a degree of fever makes me uneasy. So I am taking my reads from the people who have been down this road with many others. Leigh Ann still has a bit of confusion but much more coherent than yesterday. I think she will until we get her out of ICU. Thanks again for your concern, prayers, and love! PS: Leigh Ann did let me know today that not making her hair appointment this Friday was not an option. LOL She was not kidding. If you know her, you know she was not kidding.
