Update on Megan at OCS: Megan just completed week 7 of her 12 weeks at Officer Training for the Navy at Newport, Rhode Island. The first 3 weeks were physically grueling where a lot of rollbacks and eliminations take place but our little badass showed her ability and grit to push herself through. Next came drill competitions and more inspections and last week all classroom learning on Navigation and Naval Operational Seamanship. Next week is another big inspection and tests. Starting in the 9th week it gets a little easier as she is now in the candio phase and get more privileges like coffee everday and dessert!! She can also leave base on the weekend. Her company will take over running the regiment for the school and mentoring the “newbies”. Even though she still has 5 more weeks of intense training and challenges, we have all the confidence she’ll emerge on the other side of this experience a Naval Officer – ever stronger, more confident and with skill sets that will forever change her and equip her for life and a cussessful career. And yes Jeff and I are REALLY, REALLY proud of Megan!!
