Update on Noah, day 346 ~ Hello everyone, Im sorry this is so late. Even though last week was a short week, it seemed like it dragged on forever. Noah and I were both dealing with physical ailments, as well as work (me) and the boredom of summer (Noah); Grace went to her dads for a 3 week summer visitation. We did manage to make progress on the shelves we are building in the garage, as well as picking up, filling out, and turning in quite a few applications for a summer job for Noah. So it was a pretty productive week, overall. He was, despite being bored silly, in good spirits all week, and eventually created a daily routine of his own to somewhat alleviate his ennui. Oh, and he just told me if I need any help with spelling or vocabulary, to ask him, because hes a genius. :-) Today, Noah and I spent part of the day puttering around Liberty, doing a little shopping and having lunch together. It was lovely. I feel truly blessed to have children whose company I enjoy so immensely. In two weeks, Noah will be taking the ACT again, with extended time. Im excited for him, and curious to see how he does. The next day, we are headed out to the Scottish Highland games; Noah wants to find a kilt with the MacDonald clan tartan, possibly to wear to prom next year.:-) My son makes me so proud; he is determined to get better, and has asked his therapists to push him harder in OT. He knows he wont improve unless hes pushed/pushes himself, and hes not afraid of the hard work it takes to get there. Go Noah! We took a quilt to the coin laundry yesterday, and while we were waiting for it to be done, we got to talking. I reminded him about a comment hed made a while ago, saying that, thanks to me, he would be here for a while longer. I asked him what hed meant by that, and he told me, that he knows that he wouldnt be recovering as well as he is, if I hadnt been by his side the whole way, pushing, comforting and encouraging him.
