Update on Patricia: The experimental gene therapy is no longer an option. While some of her medical numbers are not perfect, the most important number (Ejection Fraction) has improved so well she doesnt qualify for the therapy. Hard to believe considering she still is tired a lot of the time. The EF number which should be ~65% or higher was at an all time low of 17% in December. In February it rose to 30%. Most recently it is at 39% by one test. 45% by another. It must be well below 40% to quality for the study. What does this mean? We are not sure. But clearly her heart is once more taking a turn for the better. I dont know if posting this roller coaster ride is overplay, but I need the outlet, so thanks for indulging me the read.
