Update on Shealyn Thomson.. Shea was little tired today cuz the nurse gave her anxiety and pains meds even though I told them not to.. I asked her why and she just responded I thought I was supposed to. It is on the chart for when needed. I even asked if she was stressed and she said no!! The test results came back negative so all that commotion was because of secretions or food stuck. Shea has been here for four days and the only Physical or Occupational Therapy is to stand and pivot to the wheelchair once a day. They even use the lift to put her back! Shea swings her legs over to the side of the bed and sits up on her own with no help..she carries her weight when she stands...they only help guide her to pivot to the wheelchair! Shea even asked me today why they are not working with her more as we thought it was going to be three hours of intense therapy a day! I think I may have to inquire about it...I have even been working with her myself! Maybe the insurance should start paying me!! Shea is very capable of this and we need to get her through this next phase...I want to take her home! Keep up the great work Shea, you are doing great....I am so very proud of you! Stay Strong!!!
