Update on Tearney..... Tearney is doing well at Mercy. She absolutely loves it there! Shes starting to open up during her counseling sessions and deal with some big things. There has been a great deal of healing in our relationship too. She went from wanting nothing to do with me to asking how IM doing, stating she misses me, and telling me she loved me for the first time in 4 years. Praise God! I cried when she asked me how I was doing(that was huge...its always been about her), so when she told me she loved me for the first time in 4 years I bawled and praised God with such joy in my heart. About four weeks ago Tearney got to go on weekend pass with her Aunt and Uncle. They had a blast together. One of their stops was at the famous Loveless Café for lunch where I got to call in an order and have8 the waitress surprise them with dessert and a t-shirt for Tearney. She was thrilled! That was fun! Ill post pics soon.:) God continues to bless and answer prayers....My hubby has been offered a few Saturdays of overtime so my husband graciously and sacrificially says take what I make in overtime and go she Tearney! So Guess where Im going!? Yep, Im going to Nashville to visit my daughter the weekend of 8/15. I cant wait to give her a big hug! During our visit we will be driving to my in-laws to stay with them and take Tearney to Dollywood. God is faithful! When you feel like God is not there, He is! When you feel like giving up dont! As parents we have been on a rescue mission for Tearney for many years and believe me weve made mistakes, felt that giving up many times, yelled at God Where are you? Once I gave up trying to do it myself and gave it all to God saying shes your daughter and its on your shoulders (Yes, that was in one of my grumpy moments with God). Well, I found out about Mercy Ministries!!!! We researched, prayed and she agreed. And that was God saying to me I have it under control. God is not only doing a work in Tearney but in us back at home too. I give God all the Glory.
