Update on Tom: Well, I was hoping for two good days in a row, but not happening. We did go for round two with a second trial off of the ventilator today, but it failed. Tom became confused and then fell asleep, his heart rate went up and so did his blood pressure which are all indications that his CO2 levels went too high. And after testing, they had gone too high. It took him over 3 hours to finally wake up and for his levels to get back within a normal range. It is so hard sometimes to not get discouraged by all of this. This is Toms 47th day in the hospital. Please dear God, I know you want Tom to be healthy and his body, mind and spirit to be healed, and I know it is your timeline, but please bring him home soon.
